It was a cold and snowy night. I was on my way to deliver some Mary Kay product to my friend Molly, and reading
a book given to me by my friend Janice. A guy started asking me questions about my book. Luckily, it was a book
I was pretty passionate about. The author, Edwina Gateley, had spoken both at my church and at a conference I'd gone
to when I was in college. We got to chatting about other things and I found out that he had grown up in New York too.
He was so nice...and kind of cute too.
But we got to his stop and I let him go. I didn't even know his name (mistress of the obvious...it's on his work
shirts lol).
A couple of weeks passed and I saw him again...which is odd because I never take that bus. Well, I never used to
LOL. This time, I was proactive (my friend Roger says, "forward") and gave him one of the coupons I was using as a "business
card." It had my number on it. He literally got off the bus, went into his apartment, and called me. I found
out that his name was John. We played us some phone tag, but finally connected, and he asked me out for the next weekend.
We haven't spent a night apart since.
He has BLOWN ME AWAY with his kindness, his gentleness, his thoughtfulness...his all-consuming love for me. I get
so caught up it's hard to catch my breath sometimes.
Pictures to come. This is it, folks. The real deal. I am so incredibly in love with this man.
I can't wait to build a life with him.
